Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating design elements for all kind for formats and engagements to strengthen TUM Hyperloop’s brand across touchpoints
  • Develop visual concepts for our content formats to establish a unique and recognizable way of communication
  • Work closely with our content creators by providing high quality media content for all kind of formats
  • Establish internal guidelines on the usage of TUM Hyperloop’s visual identity for the members of the team
  • Work with our leadership team to create new ways to visualise key aspects about our project and technology (from hyperloop concept to mechanical highlights, construction progress, facilities, partners, and team)
  • Play a key role in our transition from a competition-winning student team towards a competitive research and development program, making hyperloop a reality

  • High degree of passion for brand design and visual content, and open mind for technology
  • Experience in communication design, content creation, social media management, or similar
  • Proficient skills with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, and similar), animation skills are a big plus

Aerodynamic Simulation


Job Description

As part of the Aerodynamics subteam within the TUM Hyperloop team, you will be working alongside motivated students and researchers on our site in Ottobrunn. Your responsibility will be to build simulations in order to answer to burning question of how pods do behave in closed low-pressure tubes at high speeds. With the help of the LRZ calculating power and regular input from researchers and professors, you will work on elaborated numerical models.

 

Your Tasks 

  • Understanding the basics of Hyperloop aerodynamics
  • Build, verify, and exploit numerical models using ANSYS Fluent, CFX, and/or other aerodynamic solvers in compressible 2D/3D cases
  • Set up automation workflows for CFD simulations using Python, along with processing and analyzing aerodynamic results.

Mechanical Design of a Propulsion Test Stand


Job Description
As part of the TUM Hyperloop team, you will be working alongside motivated students
and researchers on our site in Ottobrunn. Your task will be the mechanical design and the
realization of a test stand. This test stand will be a moving vehicle that consists of a
cryostat including superconducting coils, a cryocooling system, and a vacuum pump. In
close cooperation with other team members your responsibility will be to think through,
define, and implement all mechanical interfaces between the vehicle and all on-board
systems. Your daily workplace will be in our offices and workshop for constructional and
experimental challenges.

Mechanical design of a test stand in CAD (e.g. Siemens NX)
Construction and assembly of a test stand
Communication and arrangement with suppliers
